If you’re handy and have a good deal of spare time, it might be worth building a cab just for the fun of it. If you build one and it goes well, build another and THEN you’ll have the requisite doom/sludge full stack. And if you fuck up the enclosure itself, at least you won’t have spent any money on speakers yet, and you can probably snag a good used cab for the price of four separate 12”s anyway.

My buddy and I have talked about making a 6x12 or 6x10 out of his old Ampeg V-2 oversized cab, but we aren’t that good with woodworking and value our fingers a little too much.
