"Would you know the difference between a Marshall JMP and a Marshall JCM800? I Have a MIG 100 H (basically a JCM 800 but with 6L6s) and I'm looking to replace my Model T with someone that blends better with the MIG without having to have a dirt pedal."

The consensus is that the two have nearly-identical circuits and therefore give off a generally similar vibe until about the mid-’80s editions of JCMs. The biggest things that changed were the brands of certain components that Marshall used, like capacitors and such. Some say the JMPs are reputed for more open-sounding cleans, while the JCMs are better-suited to higher gain. Others say it’s a bunch of hoo-hah and they’re largely the same amp in a different box. So if you put a JMP up against your MIG 100H, you might notice a slightly sweeter sound, but then again you might be able to dial in convincingly similar tones on either.
On an unrelated note, I’ll gladly take that Model T off your hands.
