RE: thefalsejesii OTR120
I got one of these recently (unfortunately has been at matamp being fixed most of the time)
I can tell you that it was built by Matamp and is almost identical to the “GREEN” amps
Good amp, loud, workhorse, unfortunately very little offered in terms of available repair service and parts though

Trade Offer...
I put my 1974 Sunn Model T on Craigslist and was offered this:
According to the owner it was made in the 90s by Matamp with surplus Orange parts. I’d imagine it is an OD-120 with what I’ve been told. I was just wondering if anyone could shed some light on this amp, since it says Matamp on the back I’m about rearing to get it.

But what does it SOUND like?! (Submit your shit!)
We all love amps here, right? So my natural presumption about a group of individuals who own or covet big, loud amps is that we’re all musically active in one way or another, most likely in some kind of band configuration. (If not, what are you, this guy?)
So, benevolent dictator that I am, I’m offering you the opportunity to buzz-market your band to our friendly community -...
frankieberan asked: I am trying to decide between a Marshall JCM 900 2100 SLX 100w head and a JCM 900 MKIII 100 watt Hi Gain Master Volume head. I have a Bugera 412H-BK 200W 4x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet and I play Hardcore/Punk and Post-Rock/Indie. What do you think? Or should I get something completely different altogether? I want something versatile but that can get loud, sound good with high gain and switch to...
xhonestyxhonorx asked: Hey took your awesome adive on the bugera 6262 went around and tried a couple for the price range and alittle out of the price range as well tried a 6505+, 5150 , bugera 6262 , and ENGL Fireball , knowing the fireball is WAY too much money i narrowed down between the 6505 and Bugera 6262 , and i think im getting the bugera 6262 closest high gain clear mid scopped dist. i can get ! THANKS FYAW ! :3
coopnasty-deactivated20120425 asked: I've (tentatively) made my amp decision! I think I'm going to get an 800, and do the bright cap mod, so that it isn't so icepicky, but still 800-esque.

rancejames asked: To the guy looking for an amp, you can get some great amount of gain out of the Dual Terror from Orange. But if you are looking more brutal tones, probably give the Dark Terror a try. I know that its not as much wattage as what you may want, but just throw a mic on it and go. I know 30-watts tube is plenty loud for me. Also, give the 3120 from Peavey a try. Its got massive amounts too, and its...
letthemhateus asked: Pardon my ignorance, but, the fuck is a bass drop generator?
moshnthrashkurwa asked: Would it be a good match to pair an Orange tiny terror with a Laney 2X12 cab?
gregtf asked: I recommend the Blackstar HT-100 or HT-50 for anyone looking to pick up on a budget. I paid like 850 brand new for my HT-100, and its great! So much versatility with the ISF feature, excessive gain, and a great clean channel to boot! Plus it came with a 3 channel foot switch in the box!
dontlose-hope asked: Recently I've had some problems with my head, an ENGL Screamer 50. When the tubes are already hot it starts a sound that I can only describe as similar to a boiling kettle, I think it's the preamp tubes, but I'm not really sure.
jamesmikelly asked: to butt in, Vheissu era Thrice had Dustin still playing through a Marshall and Teppei had switched to an AC30. By the recording of the Alchemy Index they were both using AC30s, one using Celestion Alcino Blues and one using Greenbacks (I don't remember who specifically). Dustin boosted it with Line 6 distortion effects and Teppei with Line 6 effects and a Tubescreamer clone.

coopnasty-deactivated20120425 asked: Once again, I come to your ask box for wisdom. I'm looking for an amp head (tube, and 50-100 watts) under $1200 that has good cleans and A fair amount of gain on-tap. I don't like marshall :( otherwise, it'd be a Jcm800 but they're too harsh for me. ishouldnthaveposted asked: Small world! I really dug your last release. So I promise you that our paths will surely cross. I know we're working on a summer run, and we'd love to play Boston, and to play with you guys, but if you just happen to make a trip down to NC for any reason, particularly Greensboro, you've got a place to play and rest your head. ;)
ishouldnthaveposted asked: What band are you in? Maybe we can set something up in the future. In regards to coming to Mass. the closest we'll be getting to you relatively soon is Brooklyn on March 6. Hopefully that's not too far for you guys!
